Las Dos Macetas

Las Dos Macetas

Pottery is a popular art practiced in Mexico. Mexican potters typically use local clay and either dig it up themselves or pay someone to bring it by donkey or truck. Household ceramics are usually made with form and function in mind. While most pots are used for plants and indoor decoration, oversized pots might be made simply for design accent purposes, and don’t even require a plant to be useful.

Sometimes extra large ceramic pots are left unglazed and used as a neutral accent to a wall full of plants like this one, or perhaps these two are acting as way of deterring people from using this door.
